More-than-human natures

My research and writing are informed by feminist materialist and posthumanist approaches. They help to dive deep into the entangled, agential, and plural nature of matter, while also articulating matters of gender, race, class, history and politics are woven into the very structure of the stuff of the world.

Feminist and queer theories challenge the kind of thinking that works by introducing cuts and formulating the reality in terms of separation: nature as opposed to culture, male as opposed to female, and human versus non-human. My work has always been in search of more ethical modes of philosophical speculation, political reflection, and imagination that move us beyond the great divide between the human and the animal, plant, or non-human life.
